Kakau Aloha is a beloved local treasure, nestled in the heart of Hawaii Island in Keaau. We pride ourselves on offering authentic Hawaiian, Filipino, and Chinese foods that capture the essence of our vibrant cultural heritage. Our culture "Mix Plate" consists of Hawaiian, Filipino, and Chinese foods cooked fresh everyday and made also to your special liking. Our foods are what many locals were raised up with, having our Tutu Wahine, and Tutu Kane prepare their foods and slowly cooked all day with love. While we try to preserve it, we cook it, and enjoy eating it.

The word for ''Table" in Hawaiian is "Pakaukau". The word or term used in Hawaii to eat is "Kaukau", and used by many of the Hawaiian-Chinese Families in Hawaii. When saying, "Eh!, go kaukau!", many know it as, "Go eat!". But, it really means, "Go to the table!" The many Hawaiian-Chinese families have used these phrases as to go and eat. So we have decided to name our food outlet as "Kakau Aloha", making it much easier to say and though it is supposed to be spelled - Kaukau - we made it easier to relate and spell for many who may find themselves trying to identitify our food outlet.
